How do we judge people?
And please don’t say you’re not judgmental. From the
underwear you pick out in the morning to the foods
you choose to eat to the people you interact with
all day long, even to the guy you buy potato salad
from in your local deli, you are making judgements
every minute of every day.
Most people have “gut” instincts that make them
avoid certain colors in their clothing and home
decor, foods that even the mention of make them gag,
and people who quite instantly are recognized as
either good or bad actors. Indeed, gut instincts are
all well and good, and people who depend on them are
often correct in their judgements.
However, cold hard facts are even better. There is
nothing like empirical, objective, irrefutable
evidence to affirm that this or that judgement is
right on the money!
My thesis is that the biased, leftwing media may
have presented VP JD Vance in a favorable
light––after all, they love anyone who disagrees
with President Trump, as Vance has done on a number
of crucial issues––but that the Vice President’s
words and actions––the hard evidence––are what makes
him a dangerous choice for President of the United
States.

LET’S PRETEND
Let’s make believe that you were right there
witnessing history in the 1970s, ‘80s and ‘90s, when
David Duke became so prominent he was even elected
to a seat in the Louisiana House of Representatives.
As Wikipedia
describes him,
Duke, now 76, is “an American white
supremacist, neo-Nazi, conspiracy
theorist, former politician and grand
wizard of the Knights
of the Ku Klux Klan.” In fact, in 2013,
the Anti-Defamation
League called Duke "perhaps America's
most well-known racist and anti-Semite".
During his heyday, he was quoted,
among other obscenities,
as saying:
Ø
“I think, probably in a moral sense, the Jewish
people have been a blight….and
they probably deserve to go into the ashbin of
history…”
Ø
“What we really want to do is to be left alone. We
don't want Negroes around. We don't need Negroes
around…”
Ø
“Increasingly independent black economic, cultural
and political power gave Blacks more freedom to do
what came natural to them…Males
exhibited exaggerated sexual aggression and
promiscuity that led to the dissolution of the
Black nuclear family in America…”
Ø
“Our clear goal must be the advancement of the white
race and separation of the
white and black races. This goal must include
freeing of the
American media and government from subservient
Jewish interests.”
While we’re pretending, let’s say that among David
Duke’s best friends was a prominent U.S. Senator,
whose friendship went back over a decade, and also a
well-known media personality.
And now let’s imagine that both the Senator and the
media anchor steadfastly refused to condemn Duke’s
virulent racism and deep, visceral, maniacal hatred
of Blacks and Jews. Would this cowardly senator be
worthy of reelection? Would it be possible to take
this racist media person seriously?
LET’S SKIP TO THE 21ST CENTURY
But that is what VP JD Vance is asking the American
public to do. "Tucker’s a friend of mine,” he has
said of the wild-eyed, obsessed Jew- and Israel
hater
Tucker Carlson.
“Do I have disagreements with Tucker Carlson? Sure.
I have disagreements with most of my friends,
especially those who work in politics…. We may
disagree on some things, but we’re still good
friends.”
Would VP Vance be so magnanimous if Carlson’s fetish
was a loathing of mixed marriages, the kind that
Vance has with the woman he insists on describing as
his Indian wife?
Of course not! That would be strictly off limits.
And grounds for the dissolution of the friendship.
How about if Carlson had a particular beef not with
Judaism but with Hinduism and never hesitated to
scorn that religion and its adherents? We know that
VP Vance’s wife, Usha, is to this day a committed
Hindu, while he is a convert to Catholicism. And how
many Hindus are there in the world? Ah!
A cool 1.2-1-3 billion!
Needless to say, that subject too would be strictly
off limits. And the constant insults another reason
for the friendship to end.
But the entire population of Jews in the world,
about 16 million,
and the entire country of Israel––with approximately
eight million Jews––that’s a different story for VP
Vance and his buddy Tucker Carlson and all the other
like-minded racists like Candace Owens and Megyn
Kelly and Nick Fuentes who think that little, tiny,
besieged Israel is responsible for all the world’s
problems.
Also worth mentioning is that that one of Vance's
closest and openly acknowledged advisors is the
pro-Iran Trita Parsi, who co-founded the Quincy
Institute for Responsible Statecraft, to which
Carlson is also a member.
What is wrong with this picture?
WHAT IS WRONG WITH VANCE?
As The Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen
spells out in damning
detail in his article, "Trump's Iran
Strategy is working. His Vice President's isn't," VP
Vance is either sabotaging the president or
undermining the president’s agenda or working
against the president, or all of these seditious
acts.
"What has failed?” Thiessen writes. “The ceasefire
and memorandum of understanding negotiated by Vice
President JD Vance — which have driven Trump into a
strategic cul-de-sac of negotiations, Iranian
violations and U.S. retaliatory strikes, followed by
more negotiations.”
“Worse,” Thiessen continues, “Vance continues to
publicly contradict the president’s positions. In a
recent interview, he suggested that… If [the
Iranians] don’t comply with the deal…we’ve still
done incredible damage to their nuclear program, and
we can get on with our lives as a country.' That is
not Trump’s position. His position is: They’ll
comply or they will get blown up.”
“The vice president doesn’t get his own foreign
policy,” Theissen asserts …he is trying to dissuade
Trump from resuming major combat with straw-man
arguments."
And who is J.D. Vance getting advice from? Is it
Tucker Carlson, who Trump has called, among other
things––and who can disagree? ––a "nutjob."
MORE QUESTIONS ABOUT VANCE
According to
Axios writer Mike Zapler, “there's a
not-insignificant GOP faction that…is already
arguing against handing the reins [of the
presidency] to Vance.” He cites the columns of Wall
St. Journal editorial board writers Kimberly
Strassel and Allysia Finley who have “ripped Vance
for being too self-promoting, too eager to court Tucker
Carlson, and too thin-skinned,” all of
which they document exhaustively.
Among their main arguments is that Vance puts his
personal ambitions ahead of governing, he has an
irritating personality, he is politically naïve, and
that he “cozies up to Carlson.”
When it comes to the hottest item in the news for
the past three years––Israel and Hamas’ brutally
murderous assault on thousands of innocent Israelis
on October 7, 2023, we find Vance’s buddy Tucker
Carlson defending Hamas, touting Qatar, the country
that funds not only Hamas but Hezbollah and the
Houthis, among other career murderers, and Vance
rendered mysteriously mute when it comes to
repudiating and rejecting these odious and
empirically inaccurate claims.
And, for more than an entire year, while Vance’s pal
Tucker Carlson was viciously accusing Israel of just
about every crime on earth and sparing no slanderous
language about Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin
Netanyahu, and while Israel, in a truly existential
battle, was fighting against no less than seven
surrounding terrorist entities, including Hamas,
Hezbollah, Houthis, various Iraqi and Syrian-based
and Yemen militias, and Iran.
All of them Arab countries with the goals of
murdering Jews and wiping Israel from the map not
only on their murderous minds but in their publicly
documented charters, founding documents,
constitutions, manifestos and mission statements.
As President Trump, bucking world opinion, was
giving Israel his full verbal and military support,
VP JD Vance never once has publicly condemned
Carlson for his ferocious anti-Semitic racism, never
ended his friendship with him, and never apologized
to President Trump for essentially supporting a
man––that would be Carlson––who was doing everything
in his power to sabotage and ultimately destroy the
president’s agenda.
Just as VP Vance was utterly mute when his pal
Tucker called Israel
“one
of the ugliest countries in the world,”
Just as VP Vance mendaciously and inaccurately
claimed that Israel’s
only friend in the
world was America.
VP Vance is not what our country deserves as the
vice president he is right now. But for sure, he
certainly does not have the moral character, the
judgement, or the best interests of the United
States of America in his heart and mind to be our
next president!
